About CompleteCV

Why CompleteCV exists

Looking for work is stressful enough. Too many online CV builders let you spend half an hour on your CV and then ask for a subscription at the download button, or stamp a watermark on the result. CompleteCV was built to do the opposite: a good CV builder that is free from the first click to the final PDF.

What you get, free

• Every template, with a live preview as you type
• Unlimited PDF downloads with no watermark
• A free review of your CV with specific fixes
• Optional sections for different countries, such as a photo, languages, references or a declaration
• Section headings in several languages
• A free cover letter builder and letter tools for resignations, references, offers and more
• A free ATS resume checker that reads your PDF in your browser
• A free account to download your PDF, which also keeps a CV and a letter saved and on any device

Nothing is behind a payment wall at the download button. An optional Pro plan adds extras for a longer job search: unlimited saved CVs and letters, version history, a job tracker and more CV reviews.

Your data

You can build a CV on CompleteCV without signing up, and create a free account when you want to download it. Your CV is saved in your own browser as you work, and you can export a backup file at any time. If you create a free account, the CVs you save to it are stored so you can open them on any device, and you can delete them or the whole account whenever you like. When you download a PDF, the CV is sent to our PDF service to be rendered and is not stored. You can read the details in our privacy policy.

How it stays free

Running CompleteCV costs money for hosting, PDF rendering and CV reviews. The Pro plan and ads on guide and article pages cover that. Ads never appear inside the CV builder, in forms or next to a download button.

Who makes it

CompleteCV is made by Isaac Olanrewaju. If you find a bug, have an idea or spot something wrong in one of our guides, please get in touch. Every message is read.
