A board for your job search

The tracker has five columns: Wishlist, Applied, Interview, Offer and Rejected. Add a job to any column and drag it along as things move. Each column shows how many jobs it holds and can be sorted by date or company. If you prefer, switch to a list view, and use search to find a job by company, title, notes or the CV you sent.

Remember what you sent

When a recruiter calls three weeks after you applied, the first question is often about something on your CV. If you tailored it for that job, you need to know which version they have. Link the CV and cover letter you sent to each application, and the tracker keeps them together with the job link and your notes: who you spoke to, salary discussed, next steps.

Tailor a CV for each job

Sending the same CV everywhere is the most common reason for silence. "Copy the CV for this job" makes a copy named after the company and role and opens it in the editor, so you can move the most relevant experience to the top, adjust your summary and match the keywords in the job ad without touching your main CV. The writing tools can compare your CV with the advert and suggest edits.

A simple routine that works

  1. Add jobs you like to the Wishlist as you find them, with the link to the advert.
  2. Before applying, copy your CV for that job and tailor it. Run the CV review.
  3. Apply, move the card to Applied and note the date.
  4. Follow up after a week or two if you've heard nothing, and write down what happened.
  5. Move cards on as you hear back. Rejections are worth keeping: they show which kinds of roles respond to you.
